Passing Time
All journeys are ultimately inward. Images on paper made on a journey home, a pilgrimage to memories of made of air, sunlight, smells, rain, and soil. Photograms were made from found deer bones, gnarled branches, corn stalks cast mysterious, abstracted shadows onto paper. The movement of the sun over the objects direct the quality of line and shape, blurring and sharpening edges, leaving a final record of the elements of light, atmosphere and time record the shapes on paper. The length of time, time of year, time of day, quality of light of the exposure determine the final image.
